All our musical sections (including the youth sections) will be taking part in the service on Sunday, October 22nd. There will be a soup and sandwich luncheon following this service. If you are able to help with either soup or sandwiches please write your name on the sign- up sheet provided on the table in the foyer, or downstairs in the multipurpose room. Home Missions Focus Fund – Our Home Missions alter service will take place in our service on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 8th. This offering will go to support the following in the NL Division – Ministry to Young Families, Evangelism & Discipleship Initiative, Youth Ministries, Leadership Development, and Deaf Community Ministries. You will find a special envelope in your cartridges or you can pick one up on the table in the foyer.

September 24th, Annual Day of Prayer for Victims of Human Trafficking
On Sunday, September 24th, The Salvation Army in 128 countries around the world will observe the Annual Day of Prayer for Victims of Human Trafficking.
The United Nations defines human trafficking as: 'A serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking.’
Bonfire, Saturday, September 16th. 6:30 p.m., Middle Cove Beach. Hot dogs and marshmallows provided. Bring along any other snacks you would like as well as chairs/blankets and roasting sticks if you have them. All are welcome! If weather is unfavorable, event will be moved to another date/time.

VBS -2017 - Join us each morning July 10-14 for Hero Central 2017 VBS! We are going to prepare kids with special abilities...to Do good! Seek peace and go after it! Psalm 34:14. Kids learn God's heroes have Heart, Courage, Wisdom, Hope, and Power. Grab your cape and get ready to fly with epic music, spectacular science, crafty crafts, heroic recreation, and fantastic Bible stories!
Do you make he worlds best Chili or bake everyone’s favorite pie? Sign up to attend our adult fellowship event! Not much of a cook or baker? That’s ok, we also need other side items and, of course, judges! Be sure to find the sign-up sheets in the foyer and by the band room. Bring along your favorite card or board games! Open to anyone aged 20+Childcare is available for $5 per child or $10 per family and will include supper and snacks for the kids. Must sign up in advance.

Flea Market - The Glenbrook Lodge Ladies' Auxiliary will be holding a Flea Market at the Glenbrook Lodge, Torbay Road, on Saturday, June 3, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00. Good quality items would be gratefully accepted and could be dropped off at the Glenbrook Lodge on Friday, June 2nd (no clothing please).
Glenbrook Lodge Memorial Hymn Sing: The annual Memorial Hymn Sing at Glenbrook Lodge will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at 2:30 pm. The Wesley Male Choir will be in attendance, as well as an Ensemble of the S.A. Etobicoke Band who are visiting that weekend, and other guests. Donations may be made in memory of family members or former residents of Glenbrook Lodge and should be received by Friday, May 19th. Donation forms with the Suggested Hymn List are available by calling the Glenbrook Lodge (752-8865)

FUSE 2017 (formerly Youth Together) – May 5th -7th, Twin Ponds Camp. Fuse is open to youth in grade 7 or higher. Registration fee is $110.00. There is an early bird fee of $100.00 for applications received on or before March 24th. Registration deadline is April 7th. Late registration is $120.00 for applications received between April 7th & 21st. No applications will be accepted after April 21st. Applications are available outside Erika’s office. or ONLINE
