Starting on January 14th at  6:30 p.m. in the gym, Majors will be leading a Corps Bible Study. This first Bible Study will be a

MINI HOLY LANDS TOUR

We will be exploring Holy Sites in Israel and Jordan, through photos and Scripture. Bring your Bible and an open mind to learn at least one new thing that you can apply to your own life.  Our first stop is The Mount of Beatitudes.

2.  Bring along a Christmas Card (Sign your name to the inside of the card; leave the envelope blank) We will explain more on the night of.

Celebrate the Christmas Season The Temple Band presents its annual Christmas concert on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., and will feature special guests including the St. Mary’s Elementary Choir.  Admission is free. A free-will offering will be collected with all proceeds used to support the Sunshine Bag ministry.

NewFound Brass Babysitting Club – November 10th - On November 10th, during the Midnight Madness event at the Avalon Mall, NewFound Brass will be offering childcare. Drop your child(ren) off here at the Temple for a fun night with NewFound Brass and enjoy the 20% off night at the Avalon Mall!  Childcare will be offered between 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm. The cost... $20.00 one child, $30.00 family of two, $40.00 family of three or more. The proceeds from this evening of childcare will help NewFound Brass with their trip to Toronto for the 2018 Toronto Santa Claus Parade.

Home Missions Focus Fund Our Home Missions alter service will take place in our service on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 8th.  This offering will go to support the following in the NL Division – Ministry to Young Families, Evangelism & Discipleship Initiative, Youth Ministries, Leadership Development, and Deaf Community Ministries.  You will find a special envelope in your cartridges or you can pick one up on the table in the foyer.

On Sunday, September 24th, The Salvation Army in 128 countries around the world will observe the Annual Day of Prayer for Victims of Human Trafficking. 

The United Nations defines human trafficking as: 'A serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking.’

VBS -2017 - Join us each morning July 10-14 for Hero Central 2017 VBS! We are going to prepare kids with special abilities...to Do good! Seek peace and go after it! Psalm 34:14. Kids learn God's heroes have Heart, Courage, Wisdom, Hope, and Power. Grab your cape and get ready to fly with epic music, spectacular science, crafty crafts, heroic recreation, and fantastic Bible stories!

2nd Annual Adult Fellowship Chili & Pie Cook - off and games night

Do you make he worlds best Chili or bake everyone’s favorite pie? Sign up to attend our adult fellowship event! Not much of a cook or baker? That’s ok, we also need other side items and, of course, judges! Be sure to find the sign-up sheets in the foyer and by the band room.  Bring along your favorite card or board games! Open to anyone aged 20+Childcare is available for $5 per child or $10 per family and will include supper and snacks for the kids. Must sign up in advance.

Glenbrook Lodge Memorial Hymn Sing

Glenbrook Lodge Memorial Hymn Sing: The annual Memorial Hymn Sing at Glenbrook Lodge will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at 2:30 pm.  The Wesley Male Choir will be in attendance, as well as an Ensemble of the S.A. Etobicoke Band who are visiting that weekend, and other guests.  Donations may be made in memory of family members or former residents of Glenbrook Lodge and should be received by Friday, May 19th.  Donation forms with the Suggested Hymn List are available by calling the Glenbrook Lodge (752-8865)
